A Community Action Group preserving and protecting our way of life

EMERGENCY ACTION NETWORK

As part of our efforts to preserve and protect our area, we are forming an Emergency Action Network to keep communications open in our neighborhoods during a possible natural disaster or other events where communications might be cut off for an extended period of time. We’re looking for people that can help and NEED help. Your participation in this effort would be greatly appreciated. Just fill out and provide the information below if you wish to be included.

If you’re on C-Pap need oxygen or have any kind of special medical need, please sign up.

Additionally, please indicate if you have any training in emergency services as a Nurse, Doctor, or EMT for example.  Or, do you have any heavy or special equipment that may be useful in the event of an emergency such as a backhoe, snow plow/blower, chainsaw, Ham Radio, drones, etc?  People who cook or provide meals would also be appreciated.

Once we start getting groups together we will assign certain responsibilities in each area to key individuals if and when an event occurs. We are looking to provide each home with a two way radio device that can be used when all other communications are out. The cost per home would be about $100.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call Friends of Kayak Point at 360-652-7002.
